Free Shopping Listings from Google

Did you know that Google recently announced that it will offer FOC listings on its Shopping

tab? This is to help both vendors and shoppers in the midst of the COVID-19

pandemic, where supply and demand for goods and services is becoming very challenging and is creating uncertainty everywhere and affecting everyone.

These changes are already in place in the U.S., and Google is looking to grow this program on a global scale by the end of the year.

A word of caution however, while this is certainly good news for many vendors and merchants struggling to reach new markets, the majority of consumer traffic is still generated by Google Search and Google Ads.

If you already use Google Merchant Centre and Shopping Ads in the

US, you’re already eligible for the free listings and don’t have to take any

additional action.
